Don't let her fool you. It is Scooter who puts on the Chickenstocks. After all how else is he supposed to reach out to all his adoring fans and stalkers?

Your not kidding personal slave! Got home, he sent the black hen in to sit on eggs while he gets let out to run with the layers. Now he is trying to move them into his small home! Ugh! They all stayed home for the Oxford one, he is getting old and tired, this is getting to be his 8th year and a bit long in the beak. I have RIR eggs coming tomorrow got to get the bator up and warming. Also, I have a silver laced wyandotte Rooster that is free to a good home.

Why do I now picture him showing up in a rooster wheelchair with an oxygen tank?

And he has to be surrounded by his flock of personal nurse chickens and a couple of candy striper pullets for good measure.

I bet he would appreciate it! LOL!!!!

We will be bringing the silver laced wyandotte Rooster (1 yr old) and 2 barred rock hens (1 yr old) to the Oxford Tractor Supply(Poultry Care Clinic) between 9:30-10:30 tomorrow, Sunday May 22 if anyone is interested in them. I'm trying to sort out birds where most of my time will be on meat birds for the next few months, also have the RIR eggs to go in bator tomorrow! Yippie, I like the 1 we have at this point. If you have birds that you want to sell, feel free to come down, we can set up for a few hours and see how quickly word gets around!

Guess a lot of folks are begging for layers in this area, that is why we are doing that second event in August.

June 11th is the next Farm Day swap TSC Sanford, Me. and I hope to see everyone there again.

TSC asked me the other day if we could run a Farm Day swap twice a month and I agreed.

The new schedule of events are:
JUNE 11TH - 9 AM TO 1 PM
JUNE 25TH - 9 AM TO 1 PM
JULY 9TH - 9 AM TO 1 PM
JULY 23RD - 9 AM TO 1 PM
AUGUST 6TH - 9 AM TO 1 PM
AUGUST 20TH - 9 AM TO 1 PM
SEPTEMBER 10TH - 9 AM TO 1 PM
SEPTEMBER 24TH - 9 AM TO 1 PM

Right now this is the proposed schedule I'll be giving to TSC (Sanford), but I'm pretty sure the dates will stand.

Would love to hear from everyone on what they think about extending the swap season.

Still looking for more people to sell their farm equipment, garden plants/veggies, livestock, poultry, waterfowl or other small animals.

Let's all hope for good weather and big crowds.

See ya at the swap.

I posted Bob's information on the front page, let me know if my fingers did the walking with out my brain following!!!!

The Poultry Care Clinic at the Oxford Tractor Supply Co. Sunday May 22 went exceptional. I believed I helped out several that had ill and dead chicks from Cocci. Its such a common issue its sad that there isn't more word out there for these new folks. Also, nail care for those who are no used to such things and how to help your birds with beak trimming or just put a stone or cement block in for them to wipe their beaks on.

It ended up being a 45 min talk, and was just fun talking with others about their birds and how cute. Biosecurity did get mentioned too.
Have a great day!
