We're looking into buying a lasar scope for one of the guns, since Rocky appears to like visiting us so much. Our bedroom window overlooks the garden and chicken yard. Jazor, if you have any recommendations along this vein, give me a shout.
What a lovely run....so festive. I see what you mean. I would like to put in a run like this. How many chickens do you have in there?Been so busy! I've got to finish putting in my garden today and then hopefully from here on out I'm back to "normal" amounts of chores.
My run is waaaaay too big to use a net... this isn't even all of it, it keeps going to the left of the picture. If a net works for you, use it! I just haphazardly string up fishing line. Even if it just slows the hawks and eagles down, it gives my birds some extra time to scoot under or into the coop.

I think i see curly tails on #1 and #3. Can't tell with #2. Old eyes! Nice looking ducks. Let me know if they lay any eggs!!!![]()
Thanks for the scope info. After assessing the situation last night, with available lighting from front and back of house (target site is at the end) there's enough light to make out the target, and if we use a red flashlight inside to line things up, we might be ok. Red neck solution... i know. He didn't come for the scratch, so i'll up the ante to marshmallows and cat food. He's trap savy. Springs the trap, takes the bait, but nobody home in the morning.
