Post pictures of the hen, if you can. If you can't describe them... what does their comb look like, what color are the earlobes?

The above is a close up of one of my leghorns. You see the comb is big, floppy (she's laying so it's nice and red) and white earlobes (denoting white eggs). Leghorns are also pretty skinny with a rather tall tail, much less round in the rear than most biddy-butts... let me see if I have another picture:

Hope these help.

I have a question. We have 3 what we assumed were leghorns. One has just started to lay ( eggs so far) they have been varying shades of color but usually a light tan. I thought leghorns laid white. We got them at THE this spring. Just curious what's going on I guess. In the end it doesn't matter what they are, really.

They might be Tetra Tints. I know TSC sells them and they lay a light cream colored egg.

Oh darn. My picture didn't post. I'm doing this from my cell phone (lack of Internet here.) Some of their combs are flopping a bit and have grown a lot in the past few weeks. But their bodies look like that for sure but with red ears, one has white. I may give tsc a call and see what the breeds they had were.

Well, gave tsc a call and they no longer have the list of the breeds they had. They had been mixed in with the red pullets. Which are red stars. 3 white chick's and 3 tan. The woman said it was probably a mix. In the end I suppose it doesn't matter too much.
