Do you provide light? Egg production is way down at my house, - between 1 and 7 eggs a day, out of 21 hens. 5 are pullets (2have not started laying), and the rest are in their second year. Some are not laying due to molting. I'll be interested to see if things pick up this winter.
I need to clean out the coop before winter.

What a cold, frosty morning. The ducks flew out of the coop today and jumped right in their black rubber water bucket... which was frozen. It was cute to watch them try and splash around on ice, though.

Gotta get my coop cleaned out once more too, probably in about 2-3 weeks though. I want to wait as long as possible.

iv been getting 7-9 eggs a day from 11 hens 8 months to a little over a year old. no added light.

One to two eggs a day form15 or so hens ,they are molting,I do provide extra light but no help when they are molting

looks like this week ive got to finish up winterizeing my coop wife thinks im nuts cause i want to put sideing on the coop to match our house but thats a spring time job the coop got a coat of floor and deck paint on it for this year just too much stuff to get done and not enuff time to get it all done

Wow, I only have 3 Already Laying Silkie hens and they are still laying an egg a day for the most part with no extra light.. Good girls.. hehe
