I had heard that if you have a blood feather, it will continue to bleed, but if you pull it, it will eventually stop. I really don't know if this is fact or fiction. Got a styptic pencil? Wet it and place that over the wound. You might need to treat it several times, and might need to isolate for a bit.

So sorry for you folks who are having rat problems. So, far no issue seen here. Doesn't mean I don't have any, just means I've not seen any. Lots of voles, squirrels, chipmunks, mice, voles, and more voles, a ground hog moves in every spring, and we have voles, and more voles. Sounds like a .22 would be a good way to deal with rats, if you can get off a good shot without hitting any thing that is important!

I haven't seen the rooster yet today, but the third attempt yesterday seemed to work (just more flour and bluekote). My bluekote is old and the nozzle keeps clogging, so it squirts out just in random directions, which is maddening. I tried to clean the nozzle, but only with water, which was not effective. I think I might need to buy some rubbing alcohol or something.

Hi All, Looking for advice. I have a 4 month old BA who is limping & stumbling. She seems to have some diarrhea but other poops have substance. She is eating & drinking small amounts. I don't see any lice or mites. I'm afraid she may have gotten into some spoiled feed since I have a crossbeaked chick who I'm giving FF. The crossbeak makes a mess & others have spilled her food. I've brought the BA into sick bay aka the garage. Here's a picture of her foot. Thank you in advance!!

Sorry, I can't advise.

No blisters. I've been doing some research. Possibly curled-toe paralysis which is a vitamin B2 deficiency. I'm feeding Agway brand feed. I've put Nutridrench in her water and looking for Vitamin B foods to feed her. Liver! I've got that from processing other birds.

I wish I could help, but I have no idea. When I've had birds that someone suggested a B vitamin deficiency, I crushed vitamin tablets and sprinkled it all over and through some scrambled egg and it disappeared in a hurry. Good luck with her!
