Maine

Wells Maine - Emden geese and 5 Rode Island Reds. I do insulate with cardboard - mainly to cut any wind coming in. They all handle the winter well. When it snows I let them all out in the barn with doors open - only the geese will go out to play.
Just curious...... How many geese, age, and price? Again, just curious... :p

You want geese, too?
I'd love to get a couple. They're so pretty and funny.
And violent, but, well, we can make it work.
I used to have geese, but not anymore. They were Emden/Sebastopol mixes. They were great to have around and kept a lot of predators at bay. Currently, I don't know if my Mom would let me have more, or if I have a place for them at this time, so I'm not really looking for any at the moment. If the deal looks unresistable, I might try convincing my Mom and setting something up for them, though. :love

Kind of a longshot but I have a very sweet easter egger cockerel in need of rehome. Surprisingly gets along well with my huge liege fighter rooster (at least for now), he has a gentle and submissive personality and he is good with the hens, whenever I give them treats he makes sure the hens get them first. He is used to being handled and not aggressive with people at all. I just have too many roosters and not enough hens, and the crowing is kind of pushing it with my neighbors! I'm really hoping not to have to kill him.

He is the light colored one on the right in the pictures and dustbathing, he has some really gorgeous colors.
