I got my Silver Spangled Hamburgs, and my Silver Pheonix's I am very happy! I also got 3 Male Angora Rabbits!!!

Congrats ! I was thinking about getting some Hamburgs, not sure of the color I'd want yet.

Just applied some bag balm to my white leghorn's comb. This morning it looked a little white and dry on the back. Darn she's hard to catch.

I think ALL Leghorns are hard to catch. I know my 3 are !

that's good now I don't feel so bad. I've only got one so no past experience with them. I have to make sure she's in the coop, shut the pop door and then go in through the main door to get her. She tries to fly over my shoulder so I have to catch her in the process.

I HEAR CHIRPING !!!! I went to check on my broodies and to check the eggs, and one of the blue eggs (I think the naked neck) was chirping and I heard tapping on the egg !

This my first hatching egg to make it this far so I am very excited ! Will it hatch tonight or tomorrow? The remaining 4 eggs are due either tomorrow or Friday. (I can't remember what day I set them

the easiest way to catch a chicken is when it's sleeping. do when it's dark and take it off the perch to do what you want then put it back. I've always found it so much easier then when they are out and about for the day.

Kinsey: Congrats! You are going to have to post pictures when it's safe to do so! Glad you finally had some luck.

I don't know if my leghorns didn't get the crazy memo, but they're snuggly. All I have to do is sit down on the coop porch and they'll jump in my lap to be petted. I have a few really friendly chickens like that. I've heard others say their leghorns are nuts... and I agree about getting chickens off the roost at night. I use a red light (one of the head strap on deals) so I don't freak them out too much.

We are thinking of hatching out some guineas this year from the two that we have. Does anyone have any decent incubators they wanna sell ? I've never used one, so I'm trying to find one that is easy to use. I'm looking online, but most w/ in my price range have bad reviews.
