Maine

I have a Hovabator with fan and turner. Had some great hatches and some terrible ones. The terrible ones were from shipped eggs and those are a crap shoot no matter what the incubator. Overall it works great for my needs since I don't tend to hatch out more than two dozen at a time.

You do know that I know where you live... AND love a good challenge... AND enabling of chickens, ESPECIALLY naked neck ones.

Operation showgirl has now officially begun.

I admit you are converting me. Feel like I'm being stalked by the Borg. "Resistance is futile. You will learn to love a Showgirl"

No, no no! No room for showgirls here! Ashandvine's description was quite entertaining. :D

I like the Brinsea incubator because it is so automatic, thinking is not really required. When I hatched in a borrowed Hovabator, I was obsessed with the fluctuating temperature and messed with it way too much. Of course, it didn't matter, because my rooster was shooting blanks.

Woo Hoo! Widget is on the dark side.

My birds were not pleased with the snow yesterday, I'm glad it melted quickly.

Happy Friday.

My birds would not go out in their nice, dry run, as soon as they noticed the snow on the other side of the fence! They all came out when I threw scratch, but then came right back in afterwards. I thought maybe it was just too early in the morning, but yesterday evening the outdoor water was full, and the indoor water was empty (this never happens).

I guess I'm going to need to put up summer murals all along the run walls.

The poor hoop coop chickens don't have their run set up yet. It is open air, so we'll see if they go out at all. They might get a few good weeks out of it anyway.

I am very happy it is Friday! :)
