that's awesome!! Beautiful eggs! I've got 2 doz in the fridge- I hope the family I work for needs some this week...Oh man I have eggs coming out of my ears all of a sudden! The extra light has seemed to help a lot. Within 2 weeks of having it on I am now getting about 6 eggs a day out of my 7 girls and I was not even expecting the two youngest to start laying for another few weeks! I am also getting HUUUUUGE eggs from one of my orps. I think they may have been hiding their eggs for a while there, since I put a golf ball into one of the nests and then eggs began to multiply.
I already have two regular customers who want a dozen eggs a week
now I am busy browsing the McMurray catalog for 25 new chicks for next spring
I suppose I should get to work on planning the new coop first though, before I end up with 25 pullets with no place to call home living in my basement!

I've got NOBODY laying right now! What little brats!Really need to get light out to the coop, just need to get the $100 for an extension cord first. *sigh*![]()
Why do you need such a heavy duty one? The 14 or 16 gauge works just fine for me......It's for one of the heavy duty outdoor ones, and 100ft to reach comfortably. The one I was looking at also had 3 outlets on the end so I could do a heated waterer as well as the light. It was only $10 difference between that and the single outlet version. This one I think it was: http://www.lowes.com/pd_82455-66906...1¤tURL=?Ntt=outdoor+extension+cord&facetInfo=
