Violet, thank you for the pics of the solarium. Would you mind sending on information for the building methods you used? We should talk Malay/Shamo and Asil. They are NOT beginner birds. I do agree that they are interesting and they have an amazing history. If your son is interested in a bird that is large there are a number of options that could be discussed. It might be better to know what he likes about them and what his goals are. We could pm about this.

Kinsey-- I do love that Avatar picture. Did you hatch out any mixes??

My favorite potato is Carola.

Ashandvine, I don't know what's in the fodder pellets, but I bought a big bags of alfalfa cubes for winter greens. I soak them in boiling water, and sometimes have to break them up with my hands, then I mix in some feed, scraps, buttermilk, seeds, or whatever I have on hand. They love it, but they also love insulation and plastic, so I guess it's not saying much!

Hi! I'm fairly new to the area, and just wanted to drop in and say hi!

I also received a flyer in my bag today at Wilton TSC and it say's they are having a Animal swap this Saturday the 16th, 10-2.... Anyone going to be there with chicks?

So I have a question for everyone... I saw the tragedy that occured to the person who just lost their farm, my heart goes out to them :( I went to their FB page and saw that they said not to heat your water with an extension cord powered heater. My coop is a good 30 feet from any building, what does everyone do to keep their water from freezing or how did you run electricity that is not insanely expensive??
