Ha! I did not think I would find a bird-processing post funny, but I did.

You are much braver than I, as I don't think I would make a good assistant or plucker.

What are you going to do with those heart photos.....?

Congratulations on your first processing!

Glad you found the post funny. It helped me that I didn't like these guys much (they were serial rapists). If I had to process one of my girls I'd be a hot mess.

The heart photo... I sent it to my dad (ok, and I posted it on facebook, too

). Over the many years of my education I've dissected animals galore - the body is amazing to me so please don't think that I'm sick for that. I took a picture of the heart really because you could very clearly see the coronary arteries. I actually thought I might be able to use it when teaching students.

Thanks for the congrats, but I think I should be congratulated if I don't freak out and am able to eat meat tomorrow. I really don't think I'll have a difficult time with these but I'm certain I can't ever eat factory farmed meat again.

interesting package labels- took me a moment because I tend to read thread bottom to top and saw walkers first- thought that was the name of the bird until I saw the other labels. lol

I only have a couple, but they are all tinted because of the red heat lamp bulb. I'm hoping to take them out in the sunshine and take some pictures

( hopefully the sun will come out tommorow!) 8 blue splash/silvers and 3 mixed colored ducklings ( so you could get a fawn & white, dark slate colored, beige or mixed color) I'll be able to tell more as their colors start to come in. They are a bunch of cuties too!

I have 2 chicks of different ages that I am growing out for a little while, and should be available soon!

Newest addition should be here in about 2 weeks as well....and I am ready!!! Very hard to accomplish barn chores being so "round" haha.

wow, I just checked how far you are....120 miles
