Urmmm just for the record...

If you Google: How to start a chicken club you get Wendy's and recipes....

Ashandvine are those your Midget Whites in your picture? I looked all ove for some two years ago and could not find any. When she starts laying in the spring I would love to buy some eggs to stick under someone broody here. I don't have an incubator either. The jingle is great! I may try to repurpose some stuff into an incubator with an electrician friend's help.

ejcimd, perhaps someone from CMB would do some education for us. I sure don't have an eye yet for a quality bird other than outward appearances. Perhaps they could do something educational at their next show, I think they used to.

Widget it sounds like you are well prepared for tomorrow. Good luck!

Hrmmm... I kind of like that idea!

So often I find myself thinking of things I wish I knew and of course there is BYC and I have several books I've read. But it isn't the same as hands on lets talk Chicken and what not. There already are some clubs but I think they are more geared to showing. If' I'm wrong please do let me know.

I'm pretty shy until I get my feet wet and then I'm good to go.

I hear you. I have no problem with seeking out and learning new things as long as I can do it in a non-judgmental setting. I think people forget that not knowing something is not the same as being stupid. So many clubs, groups or whatever you want to call them end up with a bunch of know-it-alls who couldn't care less about beginners. Then they wonder why the club doesn't succeed.

I'm going to lay low now...

If you can go into the interview with a "What I can provide to improve your business attitude." and realize that you are there to also interview the potential employer, you should do fine. Also, most employers would prefer to hire the correct "attitude" realizing that they can always train for the correct procedure. Take a deep breath, enjoy the interview, and view it as at least a learning experience. I wish you the best.

All I want for christmas is a good bator, a good bator,
one with fans that turns now and later
that heats consistently and cools alone
because I am forgetful prone
it has to have windows to spy and little lights
that will all glow through 21 nights
Let it have luck for chickies who'll cluck
after they hatch from each little batch
and learn to peck and run like heck
then make more eggs to incubate!
oh, all I want for christmas is a good bator, a good bator, a good bator.

I love the idea of a moving Christmas tree!

In NY there's a house on the way to visit my friend. Each year they write out something silly on the side of their house with Christmas lights, something geeky that I absolutely love.
For example:
Ho^3
Bl_e Christmas
Ag Bells

I wish I was that creative. I don't think I'll be making it down this year, but I wonder what they have up.

Thank you. It helps that I am at least getting interviews. So I must have some qualities they want in an employee. Two other jobs I applied for have already sent back the thanks for applying but we don't want you rejection emails.

AshandVine...

I second that little ditty!!!

I've done researcha time or two on them and have yet to buy one. I really should so I can keep my Buckeye's going. Also, need to get my hands on another line. I know nothing of genetics or whats good vs bad, heck to me all my birds look good. Even when I try to do a visual comparison to the Standard. Wish there was a 4H chicken club for adults.
Some 4-H clubs don't mind adults coming in at all and then there is the FCBM which I want to bring the fam to. Hey Hoppy, how many guests can you bring??

Apparently I am stupid. I don't know how to riddle these out. Think less of me now? Do they have a club for adults who don't know ow to read geek code too
