Washington is not really that far away, about an hour, but I am already overwhelmed with stuff this weekend: cleaning for company arriving Sunday p.m., second worming dose of the flock, too many school projects going, etc.

If I were to go, I would ask the question, "how can I get rid of 12 trillion worm eggs in my soil?" I'm afraid the answer is to stop keeping birds in that area for at least two years. I thought worm eggs were killed by freezing, but have learned that only high heat and direct sunlight kill them. It looks like I will have wormy chickens for a while. I do realize that all chickens get worms, it's just that mine have been getting heavy loads of them!

I would love to make a meeting one of these days! This weekend it wont happen though. My in laws are coming up today and staying through sunday. I am spendong today trying to figure out how to fit 5 more people into our house with the 6 of us plus my daycare...tight quarters, but its just for a few days amd we havent seen them in a while, so everyone will survive. Do i sound like i am trying to convince myself? Thats because to make this work i have to put my 2 pre teen daughters in one room. I fear for our lives...
