From what I've read, true Aracaunas eggs wil not only be blue on the outside but blue inside as well.. You will be able to tell from that particular characteristic! How cool is that?!? My sister in law got her Aracaunas from blue seal and her eggs are blue inside and out! We'll just have to wait until they lay us an egg!

Hey all. Still looking for olive eggers and/ or black copper marins. I am not exactly set up for chicks yet but I guess I could figure it out in a pinch. I would prefer older pullets. But at this point beggers can't be choosers. Would love a black Marin roo. Anyone have anything they may be willing to part with please please please lemme know!! I live just outside of Lewiston. Thanks everyone!!
Hi, I was just on the FB page for the Bangor Chicken Swap and Muddy Hoof Farm was talking about those breeds you want. I don't know much about that place, but it may be a start for you, anyway. Good luck!

Well, the 43 hatching eggs should be here by Thursday. My egg turner holds 42. I didn't expect one of the ladies to send 4 extra eggs. Don't get me wrong, I am grateful, but it looks like the egg turner is out for this hatch.

stack them. it's only one egg and not all of them are going to make it, so once you get through the first candlings, you should have the right number of spaces.

Holy cow! I didn't know that-that's cool! That will be so fun to see, but my husband is a little grossed out by it. I'm sure he'll get over it when he smells breakfast cooking.

Dowgirl , I am in the same boat as you...We have 3 "americanas" from Paris Farmers union, and they are awesome, super sweet, look like americanas...BUT don't lay blue eggs!! They all lay a light tan to pinkish egg. I've got one that lays a blue egg, but I'd sure like to have more!
