I totally "chickened out" when it came to culling my bird. I might have been able to do it if someone stood by my side and helped, but everyone who knew how backed out on me. I just finished listing her as free for pet or meat on craigslist and uncle henrys. I feel like an epic failure because I couldnt bring myself to follow through...

That is okay.

I too would need a back-up to help me through the first time. I know I can do it but want to make sure I do it right.

What a fun area to be in this week. Bet there is plenty of traffic. I may end up going to the fair on Thursday. I have not been since at least 1999 when I went with my father. He could barely get around by that point but he loved the fairs so much.

Its crazy over here. We literally cannot make it across town (i live on the 113/302 intersection in the village). We limit going out as much as possible. We did our family day on Sunday and the weather was perfect. My husband and I will be doing 1-on-1 days with the big kids later in the week.

At least it is only once a year. Even that would drive me nuts. I hate the thought of dealing with the traffic but I still would like to go. I also think having to pay to park is ridiculous. Okay I might concede to $1 a car. And I know the locals on the main drag make the best of it by charging people to park in their yards so they would be upset if parking were free or cheaper than what they charge.

Let me think. No sheep, cows, pigs, llamas, alpacas, guinea fowl, peafowl, lions, tigers, bears, alligators or elephants. Or monkeys. I really dislike monkeys. No rodents either other than what the cat leaves on the porch. But those he eats. No fish either.

As for feed I like to think that I strongly support the local feed stores. Actually I try not to think about it.

And yes to Beans. I know it is only seasonal but hopefully someday I might be offered a more permanent position. That along with the airport gig should get me through the winter.
