It doesn't matter how long it took but that you stuck with it!!!THanks Coopchick...It's been a looooooong time coming! Who knew it was possible for a 4 year degree to take 11 years to get???

When I worked at the school, I used to tell the kids the same thing. Also to not stress out if their college career was longer than they expected. It took my husband 9 years to get his degree. His parents paid for the first 2 years but when they realized he wasn't taking it seriously, they said he was on his own. He was fortunate enough to have 2 bosses (one was his father) that allowed him to take time off during the day for classes then make up his work. Sometimes he could only take 1 or 2 classes a semester. When he told his mother & I that he wasn't going to march in the graduation ceremony, we said "OH YES, YOU ARE!!" So we had our son in March and DH graduated in May. Best part--he graduated debt free!!!!
