@OpalSecret I haven't typically seen evidence of voles until AFTER they've made a mess of things. As the snow melts it's revealing dozens of tunnel networks they leave behind. I'll try to PM you some pics if I can get them captured before they vanish (super busy these days). But I see them scurrying around the snow edges, too. I think I've seen two in the past three days. Of course if they girdle a tree/shrub, you'll know as soon as the snow melts.

Black Locust have gone on the naughty list in Maine unfortunately. If you really want some, check Etsy believe it or not. I've got MANY odd tree/shrub seeds off Etsy (including black locust) for VERY little cost

Anyone else having breeding projects going on? I have one with my Easter Egger's which is going pretty good. Although I do need to get some really dark olive eggs. So far I have mint green, light brown,blue, and one that lays pink eggs.
Weirdly I have been getting tan eggs this week from someone . Think one of the hens ran out of toner.
I have an Ameraucana project that's really not going anywhere due to getting bad stock. Meaning I have to start over next year.

almost have my baby chicken pen done, it will sit inside next to a window, right hand side will have an electric blanket, left hand side will have wire mesh on top for a heat lamp,
ive got 12 of them coming the end of the month,,
