Maine

I'm needing to reduce my guinea flock. I have five guineas that are 10 months old and need to find new homes for three of them. Two males and one female. These three stay together and chase and pick on the chickens. So if your interested let me know.

My EE mutt chicks are 3 weeks old and my hens are enjoying the bare ground! Maybe spring is here?

Spring is here and the foxes are back. Pure luck that I looked out the window and caught them lurking in the trees before they struck! All my hens were out ranging! Sigh, and so it begins again.

I mostly feed Poulin grains currently Chick Starter and Layer Pellets. For the ducklings and turkey poults I feed Purina Flock Raiser. Once in a while I get a bag of scratch to feed out as a treat as well as feash greens. And now that spring is here everyone but the youngsters are out free ranging.

Nature's Best Organic - I get it at Agway. Used to get BlueSeal, but I like this better.

Anyone interested in some Barnevelder Roosters? Great lines...

Well, God help me, it looks like I may be moving 50 chickens and 4 goats from Minnesota to Maine!

. I have a job interview at NorDx in Scarborough next week end.

They are flying me out there next Thursday thru Sunday for an onsite interview after an hour long phone interview last week. I am SO excited.

The main (no pun intended) problem is finding a new place to rent. (Can't buy at this time-no down pament + poor credit = renting.)

But I am really looking forward to hearing from all you Mainers ( Mainetonians?) Any suggestions and/or help would be very much appreciated.

. I'm about 15-20 minutes away from Scarborough. There is plenty of rural area within a reasonable driving distance. What there are for rentals I don't know but if you end up with enough lead time I'm sure you would be able to find something that would work for you.

Thanks Widget

So far I have only looked thru CL. There are some possibilities....just so hard to do everything long distance. My son and his family also live with me, so we need at least 3 bedrooms. The logistics of moving all this stuff....Chickens, goats, people and belongings just boggle my mind right now......
