Maine

Sorry. I have only one wire crate that I am bringing for my birds. I have a smaller one but it is only suitable for one bird and needs a good cleaning. Other than that I have a few plastic dog kennels. Great for transport but not so much for viewing. I was thinking about bringing the brooder, actually a playpen, but I don't have a secure cover for it.

And having just wrestled with the EZ-Up I can honestly say there is nothing Easy about it when one person is trying to set it up. It can be done but I may have to arrive at 8 just to get it set up. . Although now that I know how to do it I may have better luck tomorrow.

Ha! I agree about the EZ-up. It really takes two people.

I am off to chickenstock tomorrow, leaving at 4:30 a.m. I hope the coffee is strong!

been a busy 4th, I had ten silkies and sizzles due to hatch on the 4th all ten hatched on July 5.
I have 6 Blues and I think 4 paints, still trying to figure out who is who lol. what a relief !

So,  I am getting all ready for tomorrow's Windham swap and I have couple of questions. First- anyone going tomorrow have an extra cage or 2? I have a coupple of pairs I would like to house together for folks to see, but all I have to bring everyone in is one big cage. Also, any tips on sexing Breda Fowl?? I have a couple I want to bring IF I can figure out the sex of them...but having no combs to give it away is throwing me off big time...

Maybe you can post pics?

Just got back from the Windham swap. Only four vendors and it wasn't too busy but everyone I talked to was interested in what was going on. The weather was a bit humid but since it was cloudy the temperature was fine. I did manage to sell 6 out of the 8 chickens I brought. Traded another for a turkey poult and ended up buying three more poults. So for me it was a good day.

And my pyr, Sam, had a great time greeting everyone. Maybe next time I will charge $1 to pet her.

course you are making me want to set more paint eggs but I keeping telling myself no.
and those blues, can carry paint so keep that in mind when planning on who to keep.
the sizzles will start curling at about 4 days, you'll notice smooth birds quicker and then of course the silkie feathered birds can tell for sure in about 3-4 days

I sell hatching eggs for sizzles (frizzled silkie body type birds)
if you want some, pm me.
unless you are looking for "fizzels", no idea what those are.
this is my bird "flower" a sizzle and "puff" a smooth sizzle.

I am still looking for Fizzels....I have had the hardest time trying to locate them. Does anyone have any idea of have any hatching?

I have some more cream legbar cockerals, I think 5 or 6, that dh is going to cull in the next couple of days if I don't rehome. I have two adults roos and can't afford to grow these guys up to just give them away. So the difficult decision to just cull them has come up. I also have a jubilee orp cockeral that is almost 3 months old that I need to cull, any takers?
