Paula, that is one handsome boy! I tried to convince my mother she needs a rooster, but she won't bite. lol

Hoppy, congrats!

Well, realized today that my oldest sons special pullet is most likely a cockerel. Barred rock Easter egger cross, very pretty. Not very red, but starting to get saddle feathers, and a few olive tail feathers coming in. :(

Already have two Roos so someone will have to go. But we can't eat the "special" chicken! And don't want to get rid of either of the other Roos. Figures!

That's the boat I'm in. I have a Silkie roo, a Barred Rock/Buckeye cross, an EE roo, and a Cream Legbar cockerel that I just HAD to get. We don't really need 3, but the silkie is my son's, the cross is too gorgeous, and I just need the Cream Legbar. The EE roo is going to freezer camp soon, so he doesn't count.

Congratulations Hoppy on the art show!

And Widget, I could NEVER lift 50 pounds up over my head!!!! As it is, I can just barely lift the 50 lb. feed bag into my car (I usually set it on the floor of the back seat, since it is low).

Thank you if you know of any one else please give me a holler

I have a friend who MIGHT be interested, though she's taking our boy Clucksy, so I'm not sure if she has space still. (However, she has 3 completed coops and an entire cow barn worth of space to convert. She is MAJOR failing at chicken math! LOL) I am seeing her tomorrow so will find out for sure then. Whereabouts are you located, any rehoming fee or anything else to know about him?

if anyone wants to get into breeding paint silkies, i just posted one in the buy/sell area. basically I want to trade him for either quality silkie hatching eggs now, or eggs from him and your quality silkie hens.
