trouble regulating temps in a Simeego incubator. Possibly the worst purchase I've made in a while.

This incubator is small barely enough to turn eggs.. set max Celsius and converts to 98.8 Fahrenheit.. would like to reach 99.1 steady..Have you tried adding heat capacitors? Like water bottles?
Also insulating the bator with towels or something might help
Will try wrapping in towelThis incubator is small barely enough to turn eggs.. set max Celsius and converts to 98.8 Fahrenheit.. would like to reach 99.1 steady..
Yes I'm using separate calibrated thermometer.. I have descoverd a fix I hope.. forced air no fan adjustment Celsius scale conversion is correctIs it a still air or a forced air incubator? (does it have a fan) Are you using the incubator's built-in thermometer? If yes, don't. Use a separate, calibrated thermometer instead. Incubator thermometers and hygrometers are notoriously inaccurate. It's a good idea to get several thermometers and put them in different parts of the incubator. Often there will be hot spots and cold spots inside, especially in a still air incubator (without a fan). Once you have several thermometers in there, you'll have a clearer picture of what's going on. If it still has trouble maintaining temperature, then yes try wrapping it in blankets or towels or something that insulates well. But having accurate thermometers in there is what's most important. I use reptile thermometers - the kind that have a small probe on a long cord, and the display is at the other end of the cord. So you can easily fit it even in the smallest of incubators, and the display is outside of the incubator and easy to see and read.
