Have you looked inside to see if the eye is intact? Take a picture if you can. Was she pecked in the eye? If the eye is intact and not punctured, I would rinse it with saline or an eye wash (Bausch and Lomb from Walmart is good) twice a day and apply either Terramycin eye ointment, plain Neosporin or Vetericyn eye gel twice a day. Your vet may be the best bet.

I’ve flushed with saline cleaned and an eye antibiotic. I will try move the eye lid and see what I can. But it’s both eyes. Right eye did look okay and had pupil movement.

Eye injuries are common in flocks, and I also had a Polish who was blinded in one eye due to a peck because she was often running into others. I would just spend some time reapplying the ointment at least twice a day, and helping her eat if needed (an probably necessary right now.) It can take several days to a week for swelling to go down, to know if they can see or not. Losing sight in one eye is not that uncommon, but it can be hard to lose it in both. Let us know how she gets along. I would occasionally trim my Polish hens’ feathers around the eyes so they could see better.

Thanks, I got her all trimmed up last night and the right eye is fine. The left eye is very swollen and you can’t even see the eyeball. Looks like it might be Coryza (contagious upper respiratory infection). Going to vet in about an hour. Checking the other 80 plus before I go. We’ll see.
