I don’t know how some women go 9 months without knowing the gender of their babies, and I’ve waiting 6 long weeks and still have no idea. I ordered 6 speckled Sussex from Cackle Hatchery and one in paticular is more developed than the rest. Hoping she isn’t a rooster (we can’t have them where I live). Any insight is welcome!

*** she is the second one in on the last picture, closest to my boyfriends head.

Welcome!
Definitely cockerel; comb, coloring, everything.
I love the SS hens, but have had mixed results with cockerels. Half were nice, and half were human aggressive. It's not a problem if you can't keep him anyway, but still...
Don't fall for 'friendliness', because it might/ will turn into aggression, as he matures.
Move him on; he'll be a very beautiful bird!
Mary
