Make-shift tools to get the job done

We use a 2 X4 with two large nails driven in side by side. We lay the broiler down with its legs zip tied together and put his neck in between the 2 nails and pull. This works great so they do not flop or move so much. With his neck stretched we use the axe to chop off the head. Then on another rail that has nails in it, we hang the zip tied legs upside down allowing the broiler to bleed onto a pile of pine shavings placed under the bleeding rack. This makes for easier clean up too. Just scoop it up into the wheelbarrow and off to the compost pile. This is alot easier than other ways I have tried and works the best for us ! Good luck !
