I mailed my vote yesterday. I think this will be a record year for voters.

A few years ago while watching the Dem Convention with a group of friends, the very first time I ever laid eyes on Obama I had a very strange and strong sensation (I sometimes get them when I meet someone, and I also have dreams that come true).

I jumped up from my chair and stood there pointing at him on the tv screen with my mouth wide open, my arm straight out, then I said "Oh my God!"

My hair was standing on end and my entire body was covered in goose bumps.

My husband asked me "what the heck is the matter?!"

I said "I don't KNOW! ... something about him... it's gonna be big, but I don't know if it will be good or bad, but it will affect the entire world".

When we found out Obama was running for president, we just sat and looked at each other with wide eyes.

Waiting in line?!? Wow, I have yet to wait in line at a poll for more than about 2 minutes here in Canada, and hearing about Americans waiting in line for hours makes me shudder.

That's a serious blockade to some, how can you get around the fact that some working folks just don't have that kind of time?

Now mind you our per capita costs for voting are huge compared to yours, but still, you need to have voting accessible to all.
