I made the Rubbermaid bin version, I'm using two, one in the coop and outside... The rain doesn't get into the container... No wet feed here.... Except for in the FF feeder.

Just finished mine! The tip about running the hole saw in reverse was a life saver--it kept getting stuck and that solved it!
It has two feed ports. I just put it in the run and so far only one was brave enough to try it out, but hoping the rest of the monkeys see and do

A little worried my bantams won't be able to reach the feed--does anyone have experience using this with bantams?

Ashley, I have a Sebright and have no issues and a OEGB who is so tiny she stands on the concrete block the feeder sits on.

Thanks for the pics! That makes me feel better. I'm new to chickens but have Barred Rocks (LF) and three teeny Cochin bantams (who keep the LF in line! . I set the feeder on pavers making it back height for the BRs and then added a large block on the floor in front of the second port for the bantams in case they needed it.

Good job!!! How about trying a 2 or 3 gallon bucket with 2-3" hole. Bantams will love it.

At first I was worried about my bantams, so I put a small 4" cinder block in front of some of the ports, the standard chickens stood back far enough that it didn't interfere with them and the bantams used the brick... Eventually I just dropped the entire bin down on 4" solid cinder blocks as it appears the standards didn't mind bending over...

Seems there was nothing to worry about! All feathered piggies, large and bantam, were chowing down this evening from their respective ports!
And only a few kernels were spilled out, so VERY happy with the amount of feed NOT being wasted now!
