Yeah that is odd, I even made sure it had the product ID in it...

Anyway search Lowes for Item #: 24870

Around me both Menards, Lowes and Homedepot all carry the same exact elbow but for some reason I can't seem to find it on the other sites right now...

Note this particular elbow is found in the 'sewer and drainage' area not with the SCH 40 normal PVC stuff...

Also I cut the elbow exactly like it was cut in post #3 of this thread way back on page 1...

when I redo my feeder I am using these.

*I have posted Lowe's links or tried to, and it's hit or miss*

I love this idea! Going to make this by the weekend. I have a bunch of square litter containers that I use for all kinds of things and this looks like it would work really well.

Has anyone tried using a square one inside of one of the nesting boxes that aren't being used? I have 7 girls and 6 nesting boxes. I obviously won't need them all.

Did you get around to trying this? I'm in the process of making one for one of my nesting boxes as well.

Yes, actually I did. It worked really well. I made sure that it was stable and put the container in the middle nesting box (which was a little wider). I put one with feed on one side and the other side had water. I removed the water after a while because they were constantly getting stuff it it, so it went outside. Eventually the feed went outside as well. I have two now that have feed and two with water. The waterer I originally put in some PVC and attached a cup waterer. But just this week, I put the cup waterer directly into the side of the container with a washer and it works even better.

I will get pics and upload them tomorrow if I can.

I will say that you have to play around with where to cut the pipe for the feed. I wound up making nice large V cuts because the layer pellets would get stuck. I also turned it so it was more open to the side so it helped keep the feed falling.

Come to think of it, the temps are going to get really cold this week. I may put one of the waterers back inside the coop and see if that will help it to keep from freezing.
