I don't soak them so much as drop them in a shallow container of water so they fall apart a little. I'm going to try giving the next ones dry and see what happens.

My chickens like the forage cakes I got from Resolve but I don't think my ducks have even looked at them. So I will probably have to break them up to get them to eat them but worth a try. Then maybe after they get use to them they'll eat them while solid give them something to do especially in the winter.

But we have old wood floors [thank goodness we also have 4 dogs] so it's not a problem. But I can understand why mom wouldn't want one in the house. One day you'll have your own place and you can have what ever house animal you want.
