Is it getting colder over there like how it is on this side? (30/40/50 - 40/50/60/70s for the week) And any updates?

We are goign to be windy tonight, but warm - high 40s I think. and 8 eggs today, which is twice what I've collected any day in the last two months. STILL need to do a major culling, but not while I'm carrying the Ick.

Back to looking at chicks for order to continue work on the culling project. Looking at bringing them in April timeframe, so they will hopefully be laying before the coming winter starts.

Still not 100% decided - though as I look through available hatchings of some of the birds I had considered at one of the hatcheries (Meyer), it looks like I should have placed my order back in November. They are out of stock (or nearly) on most everything I looked at!

Though it would be late April before anything is available, and I've reconsidered the Welsummer - eggs are much darker than I'd like. Might round out the order with straight run red broilers, keep the best.

I like my partridge rock. Came from Either Ideal or Murray McMurray. Makes big babies and doesn't take crap from other birds

I have a few Columbian Rocks from Cackle Hatchery, they are great birds, the boys have the deepest crow. They are pretty big birds.
