I found a chart showing chick plumage and suggesting the genetics based on the pattern present - I'm hopeful it bears out, give me a more mathematical insight into what I'm dealing with.

If it turns out reliable please do share.

I'm finding it hard to get started in genetics because I can't find a good "Chicken Genetics 101" tutorial to teach me the code for the different genes so that I can understand how to make use of the genetic calculator.

I've found this useful:

It's got the gene symbol, the name of the gene, and a few comments. Not a really in-depth treatment, but handy when I just need a reminder of what gene does what, and I can look them up in more detail elsewhere if I need to.
