This is RUG, "Rooster of Unknown Genetics", and the first potential deficiency in my plans. [Weight: ] My only Rooster.

He's a product of rehoming, age unknown (believed over one year, less than three) and has already produced prior generations at his old home. Has also sired his first hatching at mine, 8 December 20.

Pro: Good Size, Pattern, large single comb, clean yellow legs with an orange/red tone on the sides. Known to sire offspring. Appears to be an adequate and protective free ranger.

Cons: Unknown breed/ancestry, age, speed of growth.

His breed is barred rock and he's a nice looking rooster

Sadly, lost all the rabbit kits overnight (10). New mama bun
ny started nesting just ysterday morning, then inexplicably tore the whole nest apart last night. Babbies lost to exposure.

Well, it's not much, but at leastnit was only the nest she tore apart. It's horrible finding bits of kits scattered because she panicked or didn't know what they were

I had one that ate a few. And a foot off another. It's kind of awful.
