Making Picture Collages - What Software Do You Use?

So download some software and use it to get the hang of it

I have Adobe, which seems like it can do all sorts of stuff, but I fear the learning curve is quite steep.

Big Tip though what ever photos you are working with Save each one in a folder for untouched media.... This way you can feel free to tweak and adjust.

It does have a good layers system that I think could be good for making collages.

I haven't used Adobe Photoshop as it costs money and I don't edit a lot of photos, but it only took me 10-15 minutes to get the hang of paint.net.

We have a licensed copy, so I'm covered there.

I can't really say if paint.net is objectively easier to use than Adobe Photoshop since I haven't tried Photoshop, but I don't think it can hurt to try paint.net, since it's free.

Best to start simple The layers tool is handy .... Start with one picture and bring in another...

Ok here is one of me and my first ride on Katee. I haddnt worked too much with photo shop but I used it to make the Collage

Dang it... cant find it either.... I will eventually... But it was about eight shots of us riding about the ranch.... Comments below each shot and them overlapping
No back ground just white....

This is a source photo I was using for deriving color pallet for doing art on peacocks... Had to keep it Love it soo much

This one was for a Gun Smith who wanted a logo... Unfortunately he committed suicide before we could finalize an immage....

Most of it was done with stock photos Mirror immaged.... Back ground was of a forrest path and I mirror immaged that. Text was done on a layer where I could force the text to follow an ellipse.

Its a logo but its also a collage of several different elements.

All the paint softwares are pretty simple to use... If you can work Excel and Word there is no reason you couldnt figure out a paint program.
