This weekend if dedicated to Operation "Get The Messy Ducks Outside". Rachel and Phoebe want to be outside and I want them outside!

Supplies

The FREE pool I picked up thanks to an awesome couple and a "freecycle" community. Brand new!

Paint!

Getting the hardware cloth on.

Dug a bit to help with drainage.

Ta da!

Just finished before it started to rain. Coop walls will be put together today and placed on the gravel. I will be using sand on top of the gravel to be better on the ducksters feet. Pool will be elevated on one side of the run so that I can use gravity to my advantage and be able to change the water out freqently.

So excited!

Haven't gotten that far yet. I have a plastic dog house, but planning on building a wood duck house.

Shingles are on now.

There was an awesome wood dog house that would have been perfect at a swap meet the other week. My hubz insisted on taking his car there instead of my truck, so we had no way of taking it home. I was bummed because there was no way I could duplicate it for the amount of money the guy wanted. And it was never used too. Grr!

That's too bad, next time don't listen to hubs.

Exactly - lesson learned! He was bummed too because he saw a garden tractor he wanted. Haha!

Ready to make more progress today!

Lola and Scout were the building inspectors last night.

Just fits!

Today's goals: - get drain in pool, elevate it with bricks (eventually will be boxed in with a ramp/steps), put sand on the floor, add playwood on the sides about 12" or so to help keep the sand in. And of course build a door!

Their going to love it and can't wait to see if finished. Well did it pass inspection, I have a few who would have christened it too.
