Making the most of it.

Finally was able to make it out of bed this morning... My lungs are trying to rid my body of the remaining virus....

going to make some homemade laundry soap today. Hope all is well.

Don't push it too hard or the virus will start to take over again! I know it's hard to rest when you have a million things to do, but if you rest now, you'll heal faster.

We've been getting a nice rain all morning which is so nice for a change. Washes all the dust off of everything and makes the trees and grass seem greener. Cottonwoods are turning yellow here and there and a Boston Ivy plant in the yard is flaming red and orange. I love Fall!

Fall is beautiful especially in the great northwest. I do have trouble with the weather... My body needs more sunshine. I just got finished making the laundry detergent. It was super easy and looks good. Not much any scent though... Probably would be easy to fix if I cared enough... This will definetly help us cut cost around here!!! We do a ton of laundry. Now time to rest a bit.. Am feeling slightly better,.. But get week at times. My next project will be dish washing detergent.

My son walks into the laundry and room and sees the bucket of laundry detergent. He askes mom what is that? I told him I made our own detergent!!!! he looks at me and says, We better not start smelling like hippies. LOL He is a smart aleck!! He smelled it and he said it smelled lemony. I guess that is good.

It's easy breezy!!! 1/3 grated bar of your soap. De solved in 3 quarts of water. Add 1/2 cup of washing soda and 1/2 cup of borax.. De solve and cook for 15 minutes or until thickened. Add one quart of hot water to bucket and stir in mixture then cool down with 5 1/2 quarts of cold water... Stir in essence or lemon and let cool for a day... It will thicken into a syrup.
