We lived in the housing area on the forts. They were like apartments more or less. We never lived off base until we moved here. But I can imagine the sound. That would be relaxing

Only actually lived in Papua New Guinea. Both our houses there had tin roofs and because the place is a rain forest there was lots of opportunities to listen to rain on it.
