It is the ONLY downside to this whole move - and it is breaking my heart *but* the fact is even if we didn't move this year she'll be far away from us in the next few years anyway as she'll be going into the ARMY when she has finished school and then she'll be headed to who knows where. I'd argue for staying here until then, but honestly the biggest part of why we are moving (besides just wanting to be "home") is that both my mom and DH's parents are getting up there in years and we want to be back there while there is time to enjoy life with them and then be there when the time comes that they *need* us there.I can't imagine moving away from my kids but with four boys it's bound to happen at some point. The good news is that will give her a reason to travel! Hopefully you liked her future mom in law...![]()
The upside of the new job is that it is only part-time. There was a lot of back and forth while I was job-searching as to whether I should work FT or PT and we had decided I should take the FT job I was offered *until* unexpected issues came up with my truck and we decided it made more sense for me to take the PT as it's in the same town DH works in (FT was in the other direction from the house) so that we can get away with only using one car if/when necessary. I have to say, I am looking forward to having a job again - having a month off was nice, and I did enjoy it, but I am looking forward to having somewhere to get dressed and go to a few times a week.Good Luck with the new gig OGM!...last Monday with no work? Enjoy, despite the chores.
