Making the most of it.

that's awesome
Speaking of which. Did you get that drive belt back on?
No. It's routed between 2 pulleys that are side by side. One of them has to come off 'cause there's no room for the belt to fit between the pulley flanges. I can't get a wrench on it to loosen it.

Why would you need to fit the belt between the pulley flanges? Or do you mean no room to slip the belt into the pulleys? Is there a tensioner somewhere on the belt? There should be at least.

If I remember correctly... You won't be able to loosen the bolt but it should pull the wheel one way or another to slip the belt on.
That's what I thought, too, but haven't had any luck yet. I can't even see the bolt head, no room to get a hand on it, so I don't even know if I've got the right wrench. Worst part is, I've changed that same belt before, but it's been so long ago I can't remember what I had to do...only remember it being a major PITA

Both pulleys are stationary, but the belt goes on opposite sides of them. They're too close for the belt to go between the flanges w/o driving it into place, which would cut the belt, and that belt ain't cheap.
