Ok, I know this two threads but I couldn't help but look at the recipe I have for tomatoe paste and see that I don't have a food mill to run the tomatoes through. Will a meat grinder work? I don't think I have an attachment for the meat grinder small enough to filter out the seeds. Is that a problem? Is there another way to do this? I don't really know who else to ask. Any info would be great. Thanks!

You can blanche the tomatoes, peel them, cut them in half and squeeze all the seeds out.

Then take the tomato and run it through a food processor before you cook it down.

Actually, you can just chop the tomatoes fine because they come apart while you cook them.

I don't like seeds in my tomato sauce or paste. It's doesn't work well to leave them in.
