Malathion 55 dip: proper mix? Technique?

I have to dip my chickens for Northern fowl mites.

The Malathion 55% that I have doesn't have instructions for dipping poultry. I have read 4 T. per gallon. Does that sound right?

Any tips for a newbie chicken dipper??
