Malay and Jersey Giants cross

If I raise them as meat birds it won't be so bad. That's my intention. Since I like both breeds it won't bother me to have them that big. Mine don't run all over anyway. Each breed has it''s own house and outdoor run. Can't be any worse than the male geese at breeding time.

Did you hatch them out? any updates?

Nice. Please keep updating this is very interesting to me for whatever reason maby I just want a emu sized chicken i dont know. Enyway how old are they maby post a picture of the full grown ones if and when they are or maby a companion with another common breed please

I have since sold them as my intention was for meat birds but just couldn't do it. Jersey Giants are small compared to other breeds. So adding the Malay I felt made them the giants they were supposed to be.

Here's a picture of my 2 indio gigantes and my 5 giant jersey hens

Funny I was looking to see if Jersey Giants had Malay genetics because I was thinking about breeding my Malay rooster with one of my Jersey Giant hens. I'm betting I will get a huge chicken and that would be awesome!!!!! As soon as my Jersey Giant hens start to lay I'll cross the 2 and raise a pair for a year or two to see their full size.
What was the result of this? Any updates you could post? I just learned about Malays and I was thinking a JG cross would make an excellent chicken to turn compost! Thoughts?
