Maybe this is how they do it:

Any ideas what that is or how it is attached?

I enlarged it. Looks like a piece of paper or thin cardboard. Could this affect his stance?

Okay, I think I will breed towards more americanlooking seramas..not too extreme, but still "vertical"...we are building a stall in our little barn, I'm going to put my seramas (when i get them!) in a corner for the winter iwth a heat lamp.
Mrs. fluffy puffy, when I get my seramas hopefully, I can sell you some hatching eggs from them,, if you are still interested! If you don't mind waiting, that is. LOL

When are you getting them? I have turned off my incubator for this year, not plugging it back in until next Spring.

My daughter got her Seramas!!! They came today. They were a trio, but one hen passed away the other day, so we ended up with a pair, and my daughter is THRILLED with them! They are soooo tame and friendly, and my kids were hugging and kissing them all afternoon. Here is the roo, Charlie. He's 1 year old:

And this is Eve, the hen. She's 3 years old:

Eve is really tiny, but I don't know if she is Class A small. Charlie is the most beautiful mixture of golds and browns, he reminds me of honey, and he has almost a lacing pattern on his chest. He's gorgeous, and that tail is amazing! Could anyone tell me what color he is? Does he look decent? These are actually Jerry's birds. Do they look good at all? I had my friend that brought them today take a look at the roo and two hens I had already bought, and she agrees, the roo is definitely an OEGB, the one black hen with the white lacing is a Serama, and the other, younger hen is most likely an OEGB/Serama mix. She pointed out the hen's larger hen and slightly different body stance. Once Charlie and Eve are integrated into the household and pass their quarantine period, I'll introduce the Serama hen I already had to them to make a trio. I hope they accept her. We're very happy with the birds. They really do have delightful personalities. I am sooooo in love with Charlie's colors. What does everyone think of them?
