OMG, she is gorgeous...

does she have a lot to choose from...? i wanted to get me a breeding pair from her a wile back, but i dunno if it's worth me spending the money on them... she's also a short trip from me too... looks like i'm going to have to send her an email this week... LOL... gorgeous...

Kate is the ladies name and she has TONS of them! One is more gorgeous that the other! She will not sell birds less than 2 months old (I believe that was the age) So you have alot to choose from. I just wanted a pocket pet and Kate knows her birds and showed me this one....Oh man- it was love! She told me this one was breeding quality. Maybe one day I might get a roo and go from there, ya never know.... Yes they ain't cheep-but I do not for a moment regret spending the $$$ on this one because of all the love I am getting back now. Sometimes money can buy love (wink)

One more with a pip and two that I will candle to see what is going on in them? At this point I am very happy with the 5 that I have. This group seems to be golds and that is a first for me. I have had lots of browns, a couple of mottles and my three week olds hatched white and are turning rose and peach so I can't wait to see what these golds turn!

Will post pics once I get some.

Need to catch up, but Nationals was a blast as well as the SCNA meeting afterwards.
I have a few pics, but I was running birds to the table, so I didnt get much of a chance to look around the rest of the show or get too many pics, but I have a few.

I have decided that I need some blue mottled cochins as broodies around here... they are so pretty!
Be back soon! Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Look how pretty! I saw an amazing one at the show, but I only had time to run around once for about 15 mins.

Whites arent standardized yet wont be till march unless this weekends didnt pass! Then we have to redue it all over again!
!

I for one CANT WAIT for the seramas to be APA recognized:ya. I have a certain family that really needs it rubbed in their faces! They have always trash talked my sons birds because in their opinion they are just mutts.

The ON was great! Lots of beautiful birds to see and to buy. I sold two pairs, raffled another pair, and brought home one extra (thanks, Jessi). Unfortunately, that's all I brought home. Because I didn't get to coop-out when everybody else did, the judge "kidnapped" my birds. If only I had a cell phone, people could have called me to tell me to get my butt out of bed and come get my birds. They won reserve matched pair, a new "just for fun" category the SCNA is using to encourage color breeding, so I'll get a pic of them with their ribbon whenever I can ransom them back.

Here are a couple new pics of mine, i wish i knew what color to call them, i know a couple came from one parent was milli fluer
They would not pose for me they were to busy scratching in there new hay and eating there feed taht they tipped over.

Well I am proud to say that I have 8 beautiful teeny tiny babies (& 3 are super teeny from my A hen)!!

They are the cutest colors too... 6 have made it to the brooder, 2 are still in the bator gaining some strength and will join their hatch mates later. I can't wait to post pic!

I'll be needing black pullets sometime next year, but I might as well wait for a show (Cajun classic?) or get some nice ones shipped out. I think I ironed out my incubation issues, but it's been such a disappointment lately I need a vacation from it at this point. Luckily, I did get two babies total from my two bluegrass shipments, crossing my fingers the second is a pullet.
