Thanks!

Yep, she is a great seller! She sells on here and on Ebay. I paid for 10 eggs and got lots of extras! They came very quickly and were very well packed. I highly recommend her. Good luck!

Thanks

Off question here - trying to learn - LOL
Do most of you incubate and hatch that way? I understand these hens can go broody - which is the preferred way for you folks that have had seramas a long time ?
Thanks

smoothmule-Sorry I ment I am getting a few pairs this Thursday but I wish I could be hatching!! These are laying so maybe soon I can hatch!

I use an incubator mainly because my cages are raised 3+ feet off the floor, and a hen has no way to keep the chicks from falling to the ground when the pop doors are open...Here is an early pic of the coop, partly finished...

My girls go broody at the drop of a hat, and I would have rather used them to hatch out chicks, but the physical logistics just aren't there...in fact, with my setup, it's downright dangerous!

I don't have the patience for a ton of separate pens, so everyone mingles for most of the year in one or two giant pens. When laying picks up, I separate them so I know who's breeding whom, but right now there's a big happy family hanging out in the garage! There's only two adult cocks, but I sometimes find them roosting next to each other, and sometimes they have one of the younger boys between them.

here are just a few of the up and coming breeders that i am really excited about. all birds are around 5 months old and will improve with age. Special thanks to Jerry for getting these birds to me.

here is Barrett, my barred breeder roo from Jerry. i really like this guy, and for a project bird, he looks great, especially for only 5 months... if you haven't gotten your barred birds from Jerry yet, get them, they are awesome!

here are some chocolates. ive been calling the darker one Chocolate laced and the lighter one Chocolate Ginger. The laced hen is laying fertile eggs with my blue rooster and the ginger is getting heavy and her comb is getting big, and feels a little fuller around the vent, so i expect she will lay soon, i have her with Tsunami, my frizzled boy. i will be moving both of these hens with a frosted flakes rooster once my new pens are finished.

here is my start in Golden Duckwing, these pics do not do the male justice as far as type goes. the color needs alot of cleaning up but for now they are the best i have and they should produce well. this little hen is in the nest right now, so im hoping that means eggs soon

All i have to say is wow austinhart123 your birds look awesome. Love the barred look. I have never seen that color in a serama. My roos looks like your your golden duckwing but alot younger. And def not as pretty as yours.

i have a scale, but i dont use it, they are only 5 months old anyways, so i couldnt tell you what their weights are, im less concerned about weight/ size and more concerned about type, nothing wrong with breeding typey C's. but id say they are all Bs, the chocolate ginger and barred will probably finish as C class, but too young to take their final weights

Austin love your birds.I really enjoy the hens in this breed they are so petite and the feather patterns so delicate
