Froggiesheins,

Oh heck yeah, mine are all pets and when I've had some that were too large, etc I've given them away as pets and some of them are house pets now. I am not your average show person. I've never shown anything in my life but I had sooo much fun meeting people and seeing everyones chickens at the APA Nationals in Shawnee that I can't wait to try it. I do my best but I don't always know what I'm doing putting pairs together so I've been so lucky to just have very good Serama's to start with. I love spending time with them and learning everything about them. I play with mine and give them toys just to watch them with it. They're pretty spoiled.

I hope to get some this coming year but mine too will just be for pets. I have no interest in showing and even less in breeding and baby-ing. I just want pets.

Thank you guys for letting me know that. I Just love the "Mini-ness" of the little critters. The little one Beep is 27days now and I think is going thru the "terrible twos" ((ha ha ha) He is MUCH to helpful at the keyboard! AND he/she is getting heavy enough to push on the keys now. Do your birdies purr when they are chillin with you too?

Mine are pets too (all of my chickens really, no matter what the breed) and that is all I'm interested in with these new hopeful hatchlings - day 20 and nothing

Most my friends think I'm crazy for having chickens in the house but I just shrug and tell them you have no idea what you are missing!

I am currently waiting for a diaper and then my frizzle will be in my house chillin with my dog. Funny thing is if my birds are out roaming the yard my dog will not come in the house no matter how cold it is outside.
I love my dog and my birds.

Here are my 2 youngest chicks, they're sooo soft! I'm anxious for more to hatch. I'm not getting a lot of variety of colors yet but it's always so fun. They are definitely house pets until they're older and it's warmer outside

Shoot.. All of my Seramas are house pets, but I can't let them "Free Range" inside. I have to lock up my cats

and my big golden retriever.. But they all get play time outside, and inside, as long as it isn't too cold for them.. We are currently working on converting a 2 story rabbit hutch for them.
