Two days ago my serama eggs started hatching. Woohoo!!! I had class a, b and c parents in the group that the eggs came from. I am noticing a big size difference among the chicks. Will the tiny chicks catch up with the bigger chicks or will the tiny chicks stay smaller and be probable size a's?

the size of the chicks and eggs really doesn't effect adult size of the birds as much as you'd think. You can breed B birds and get all 3 sizes plus the larger Serama seem to reproduce better with less health issues.

Thanks for the advice. You can't really tell the size difference in my photos but I have 4 really tiny chicks. The yellow chick in the middle has feathers that turn up and seem longer than the others. It looks like a cute case of bed head.

Gotta ask... First flock of seramas for me.. Mine are 5 months old, and starting to grow their combs, and waddles.. My cock of course has been ready and willing, but the pullets are still too young.

What age to they start to squat?
What age do they start to lay?

(and just for my wife) Do seramas sing the egg song?

BTW.. My wife made a funny.. Happy feet, our smallest, has developed a very nice comb and waddles, and fire engine red.. She said "wow! she looks like a little chicken" in a very shocking mannor.. My reply.. " Uh, honey, She is a little chicken."
