The only fault I see on him is the white earlope other wise he looks great. Out of curiosity how is the fertility on your 7 oz hen?

Yes he has just a bit of whitish yellow on his lobes but its an acceptable amount to me however the hens I got with him are a different story. I will put him with some of my own hens come spring and see what happens. So far he is the smallest most typiest boy I have had here yet so i am extremely pleased by the way he is turning out and his confidence has been thru the roof since the day I brought him home at 1 month old. The little 7 oz hen is not fertile in fact she has probably laid 2 eggs in her lifetime, she is a little over 1 year old. Her mother is also extremely tiny and wasn't suppose to be fertile either. Her father was a C class rooster.

Thanks silverphoenix! I just love him, he is sooo tame and sweet, quite the gentleman to his 2 girls at the moment as well. He is quite comfortable in the house too

a little tooo comfy lol.

I think it was Froggie that asked a while ago for pics of my little PQ green legged cutie. She's two months old as of yesterday, and is still my house chicken.

She doesn't hold still or pose, but here she is! I'm not asking for any critiques... she's just my loveable little pet. Her daddy was a silver duckwing, mom was a pretty brown hen from what I was told.

Sunny california, you are completely right, She is adorable, green legs and all. Both of her parents i got Directly from Jerrys seramas LLC, when i asked for good breeding stock she is the product of what he send me!! Does she strut her stuff if you put her near another hen??

So far, I only let her near my OEGB's, and yes, she is quite full of herself even though she's half their size still! I absolutely LOVE her Cara.

Cara, that is willow legs color which is better than green legs.....if you X her to a pure yellow legs roos you will have higher percentage of yellow legs offspring compare to green legs. I got a yellow legs roos and a green legs hen from Jerry while back, they produce about 25% yellow, 25% green and 50% willow. Then I X the willow legs daughter to the dad and so far they produce all yellow legs offsprings. Any ways, that pullet is adorable indeed.

I believe that crossing a yellow leg to a willow leg should make all the chicks yellow legged (carriers for willow). So if you are getting both willow and yellow from these birds then the yellow-legged bird carries the gene for the green legs.
