Then I X the willow legs daughter to the dad and so far they produce all yellow legs offsprings. Any ways, that pullet is adorable indeed.

I believe that crossing a yellow leg to a willow leg should make all the chicks yellow legged (carriers for willow). So if you are getting both willow and yellow from these birds then the yellow-legged bird carries the gene for the green legs.

Thanks all, I am new the the whole chicken thing, been a hook bill person. Trying to get a grip on the serama, So that leg color is WIllow, good to know, I am glad that the little hen is with sunny california, she is the best home EVER!!

Second hen went broody today

I have 5 eggs by Pops (Cocopop rooster) under Miss Prissy (due to hatch 3/26) and then new black hen went broody tonight so I gave her some eggs to set, some of her own by T-Roo and some of Truffles by Blu-T. I have 5 eggs due to hatch on Saturday, one of Truffles, one of the black hens and three that I have no idea what they may be from, the rooster over these first eggs could be Cocopop, BBR, several colors he had out there with them so I'm really hoping everyone of them hatch, I love surprises.....good surprises that is.

I have 6 eggs from the black and chocolate hen in the incubator, set 3/14 so I have my fingers and toes crossed.
