probably a Newb question but what is the difference between Swarthy and Willow? is swarthy black/yellow and willow black / green ? thanks

Swarthy is 'dirty yellow' (black and yellow mixed) and willow is just another name for green...any shade of green is willow.

I have 4 chicks hatching right now. Two look to be black and the other 2 yellow looking but they're just part way out so I'm waiting to see them dried and fluffed. One seems to have red on the head. These are the eggs I brought home with the black and the chocolate hen. They were from mixed pens so I have no idea what I have. One was from the pen with the Cocopop rooster, a couple from the wheaten and black pen and the other pen had several colors.

Miss Prissy is setting eggs now that are due to hatch Saturday. I will be bringing them in to candle and put in the hatcher and I'm giving her some of the Blu-T/Truffles eggs to set. That gives them such a great start and I can still raise them in the house that way.

I'll post photo's when they're dried off later this evening or tomorrow after work. I'm hoping for a black cockerel to breed back to Truffles later this summer. I don't know if any of these eggs belong to Truffles but one was from her pen so could be that one of the black ones is hers and could be.

we had our first serama table top show yesterday at the heartland classic. we had over 40 seramas show

only one of mine flew off the table and landed on somebodies head

and one of my hens laid her first egg at the show

I have two PQ roos available if anybody is interested ( they are too big )

This is Bruce....He and Charlie my Schnauzer try and out sing each other. He would make a good watch chicken because he also sounds off every time the dogs bark.
