JESSI!!!!!! I've missed you! I figured that you were lost under a pile of books, and I should have called and offered to write a paper for you or something.

About the picture, Phyllis and Luna don't have any great affinity for each other. My guess is that the light went out before Luna found a place to sleep, and she went looking for a comfey spot on the floor.

Juliette,

I have several birds in my Silkied that are very much the same colors. I've not thought of them as chocolate (maybe they are ???). I've been calling them 'partridge'. I have them in the warm chocolate brown...also a blueish-silver color that I've been calling penciled silver partridge. What do you think?--are they chocolate? I've not been following the 'chocolate thread'. Maybe I should.

Additional information.....I went over and read through the 'chocolate thread'......I have about a dozen of these--all female--I've never had a cockerel....and they're coming from black fathers....?????does that mean anything?

June-

Such a pretty little girl, I love her!

The fact that your girls, mated to blacks, produce only females like this is interesting...I'm not enough of a genetic guru to know the answer, but why don't you post this on the choc/blue thread, and perhaps someone there can answer it? I would love to find out as well! This chocolate breeding is certainly not an easy task!

Juliette
