Seramas are supposed to carry their wings vertical, not horizontal. Which would make that one the only correct chick.

Yes that is what I meant.

Thanks

Dianne Brewer at Paradise Seramas has the most gorgeous white seramas I have ever seen. If you have the money and you want the best of the best you should see what she has available. Red earlobes, super nice type, small birds, YELLOW LEGS! Ya-hoo! If I had the $$$ I would definitely talk to her. You'd be starting out with the best for sure.

I messaged her yesterday through the SCNA website and got a reply immediately. Are you registered there? If not, definitely try it.

Definitely get some pictures up so you can get better opinions. You're welcome - don't feel discouraged! There are a lot of really great people who follow this thread that are more than happy to help point anyone in the right direction, which is what attracted me to this forum and thread in the first place. I just got my first pair of seramas a couple of months ago myself, so I'm new to seramas too. If your seramas turn out to be a disappointment as far as a breeding project there are a LOT of breeders on this thread with beautiful birds - you never know, they might have something great to sell.

The first chick is a concern - definitely not a serama. The silkie looking chick looks like a silkie because it is a silkie cross. Are you sure the person wasn't selling you silkie x seramas instead of silkied seramas?? The bottom two - black tailed buff types - seem to be seramas.

Were they all supposed to be seramas?

They were all suppose to be seramas not crosses. UHHHHGGGG. Seems my fears are being confirmed. We tried hatching eggs twice from the mail and both times failed. So this time I decided to try to find chicks. Drove 140 miles round trip.

I am going to see if I can get some better pictures. And see what you guys think. I am wanting quality birds. So please don't hold back, I would rather know now before we get to attached to them. They are sweet little birds.
